Welcome to Cornerstone, a blog about urbanism, which is the study of the built environment and how people relate to it. That necessarily includes how people relate to each other. My primary lens for understanding urbanism is economics, which is the study of resources constrained by scarcity. After time, land is arguably the ultimate scarce resource. Allowing land to be used more efficiently could yield a radically better world for everyone. If that possibility excites you, you are in the right place.
